About the trainer
Josh Abrams is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. He is a member of The International Association of Canine Professionals and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Having grown up with different types of dogs, Josh was always interested in canine behavior and learning. After leaving a business career, he completed the Mercy College Professional Dog Trainer program, one of the only accredited dog training programs in the nation.

After graduating, Josh went on to apprentice with Steven Diller, a renowned instructor and author in Westchester, New York. Soon after, Josh began working as an Instructor for Canine Companions for Independence(CCI), a national organization that trains Service dogs for people with physical disabilities. His experience with these highly trained dogs (Mostly Labrador and Golden Retrievers) has given him a strong background in advanced training methods, but even Service dogs sometimes need basic training! While working at CCI, Josh developed various approaches to the more common obedience and behavioral problems of pet dogs. Josh strongly believes in teaching the owner as well as the dog. He is now hoping to share his expertise with dog owners throughout South Florida. |
